Kurt has been playing drums professionally for the past 31 years, starting at the age of 16. He has been teaching privately and in schools as an instructor / coach for the past 22 years. Studies include private lessons with Rickard Ecton, Joe Porcarro and Jazz studies at Montgomery College School of Music. 

He has travelled extensively as a touring drummer through most of the United States, Europe, South and Central American, Israel and Africa with Christian and Latin Acts such as Martin Valverde and GroupoVina.

As a local musician, he has spent much time backing up local bands and vocal acts playing for musical theatre groups, Disneyland, and many local Churches. He has spent 16 years in the Saddleback Community Church house band backing up artists like Larry Carlton, Andre Couch, Phillip Bailey, and Michael W Smith. 

In addition to outside performing, Kurt stays very active doing studio work, jingles and being a music producer. Endorsements include Evans Drumheads, Istanbul Cymbals, and Fibes Drums.
